Where is that sock?

I hate it how every time I do laundry, one sock always disappears. I don't know how it is even possible for a sock to just disappear like that. I always go back and check the dryer to see if it is in there somewhere but it isn't. I also have to check the washer but it never seems to be in there either. It gets me really frustrated because I like to wear fun socks. I don't own any socks that are just a plain color. I can't just match one missing sock with another. Sometimes I do that. I will end up wearing socks that don't match each other half of the time.
