She climbs on everything

My niece turned one a few months ago and she’s driving me crazy. She climbs on everything and I’m not being sarcastic or making it sound worse than it really is. She’ll climb on something as small as a book on the floor to something as big as our bookshelf. Luckily she can’t get very high on the bookshelf but she’s getting there. She climbs all over our couch and onto our computer desks everyday. If someone is sitting at a computer she will take that as her cue to do whatever she can to climb all over the computer, the monitor, and the desk until they either go crazy, or give up what they were doing and play with her. She is even learning how to climb over the baby gates already. They won’t be of any use to us soon. I can’t wait till she’s out of this stage, if she ever does, so I won’t have to look for her every few minutes to make sure she’s not trying to climb on top of or up something that could kill her.
