Things in the olden days are so different than they are now.

Back then, a man’s word was his bond. Men lived off their word and they were always truthful and honest. Neighbors truly helped each other every way they could. They helped each other build their houses and during times of harvest. Back in the olden days whole towns would get together to help a newcomer or newlyweds raise their barn. Today you’re lucky if you move into a new neighborhood and any of your neighbors introduce themselves. When did we all become so afraid of each other? When did we become so untrustworthy? Will things get better in the future or only worse? I guess only time will tell.
