It just happened to be the word of the day. I thought it was funny considering my sister in law is now about eight months pregnant. I thought I would call her gravid and see what she thought about it. When I said it to her, she laughed and asked what exactly it was that I was calling her. I told I was just calling her pregnant and she laughed for a really long time. I thought she might be dying or something considering how much she was laughing. I was afraid she was going to go into labor or something. It was pretty funny.
