National Tequila Day is here
Yes, ladies and gentleman, it is National Tequila Day. How fortunate that National Tequila Day falls on a Friday, eh? Perhaps it is fortunate. Perhaps it is strategy. I wonder if creating a National Savings Account Payday Loans Day would be an effective strategy.
National Tequila Day is, of course, a holiday fabricated by a company that sells tequila. Shocking, right? Well it seems Sammy Hagar’s tequila manufacturing company Cabo Wabo invented National Tequila Day. However, I can’t find anything that says how long National Tequila Day has been around, so it’s possible that Cabo Wabo just decided to deem some Friday in late July National Tequila Day.
Effective marketing?

I predict it will spur lots of college parties, cause a few people here and there to replace their usual liquor of choice with tequila, and overall bring in a bit of extra cash for tequila makers.
Cross promotion
Of course, other products are trying to jump on the National Tequila Day bandwagon. Besides the makers of Tabasco Spicy Tequila using the holiday to promote their brand, plenty of other companies are publishing recipes that feature tequila as well as their product. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "National Tequila Day | An Exercise in Business Marketing"
