Skeletal remains in Southern Idaho yesterday did not prove to be those of Susan Powell. The body, however, did not match the explanation of missing West Valley, Utah resident Susan Powell. To keep the search for Susan Powell going given that December of 2009, friends and family have chipped in instant cash loans.
Susan Powell disappears
In December of 2009, Susan Powell was reported missing. Susan is the mother of two young boys. Originally, all four family members were reported missing on Sunday. On Monday afternoon, Josh Powell, Susan’s husband, returned to town with their two children. Josh Powell claims he had taken the two kids camping and Susan Powell had been left at home. The missing person’s report was filed when the children did not show up to daycare. Susan Powell’s wallet, purse, cell phone and automobile were all at the house.
Josh Powell as a ‘person of interest’
The West Valley police department has named Josh Powell, husband to Susan Powell, as a “person of interest” in the case. The very same day that Susan Powell disappeared, her husband used instant cash to put several hundred miles on a rental car. Josh Powell has moved his family to Washington state since Susan Powell disappeared. Josh Powell has not been arrested for Susan Powell’s disappearance, and detectives say only that interviews with him left “more questions than answers”.
Body of Susan Powell not found in Idaho
Over the last weekend, a person looking for better cell phone reception near Ammon, Idaho, stumbled over a badly decomposed body. Because Ammon, just outside of Idaho Falls, is within a day’s drive of West Valley City, detectives contacted those investigating Susan Powell’s disappearance. Police departments on both sides of the border have confirmed the body found in Idaho is not Susan Powell. Confirming the identity of the body could take several weeks.
