Seeing Chuck Berry comes close to passing out during a live performance at Chicago
ABC reports that Berry fell ill in the course of a concern before getting to “Auld Lang Syne” at a concert that was at the Congress Theater in Chicago on New Year's. During the performance, Berry sat down at the electric piano onstage and began to slump over. Berry waved for assistance and was helped offstage. A half hour later, he came back so enthusiasts would know he was okay. Then the dance step he made famous, "duck walk," was done by him. Angus Young of AC/DC is the most famous to have copied the "duck walk" although many people did this. Berry went home to St. Louis the next day as he had been feeling ill that whole evening.

Still doing well
Not several musicians have the longevity and influence of Chuck Berry. He has toured and recorded since the 1950s, and artists like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Ted Nugent, AC/DC and legions of others have claimed Berry as an influence. "Johnny B. Goode" has one of the best guitar riffs ever known in it. Part of the bedrock of rock and roll includes other songs of his including "Roll Over Beethoven" and "Maybellene". If there’s a person who personifies the genre, Berry is as close as it gets.
