Last night I got together with a group of friends and we got to talking about experiences that have changed our lives. This one girl told us that she used to own a three story barbie house along with a bunch of barbies that she never played with. Well one year her parents were telling her about this little girl in their church that wasn’t going to have a Christmas that year and how she should give all her barbie stuff to this little girl. Well she didn’t want to give it away even though she never played with it. Her parents eventually made her give the barbie things away. She was really angry until the Sunday after Christmas when she heard a little girl talking about all her barbie and the house she got for Christmas that year. That one experience changed her whole outlook on the holidays. How incredible is that?
