Flashlights are so cool.

You just turn them on and you can see in the dark, almost like it’s daylight. They’re also portable so they’re easy to take places like night hiking, or discovering deep dark places like extinct lava tubes or caves. They’re a must for first aid kits or just to have around the house in case your power goes out. What’s amazing is there are flashlights that you can wind so you won’t ever have to worry about the batteries being mysteriously dead or running out of batteries. Growing up we always had a small flashlight by our bed in case an earthquake happened and the power went out. I’m going to do the same for my family.
