My foot is asleep

That's what I get for sitting on it. I sit on it and it decides that it's tired and wants to sleep. I suppose it has a good reason. It's because I'm cutting off the circulation to my foot, or just limiting it. Without the nutrients it needs it gets tired and starts telling me that it needs me to get off it. Why do we say it's "sleeping" though? It's not really sleeping—it's crying out for help. Well maybe it's because it's going unconscious from the lack of sustenance, and the tingly feeling is when it's recuperating.
