Trying to start a fire

Wood is a good thing to have when you're trying to start a fire. You need oxygen too, so if you were in outer space where there's not oxygen, it would be rather hard to get a fire going. Fires need heat to start too, so that wouldn't really work in outer space either. When you strike a match, you are creating friction, which creates enough heat for a flame to start. It also helps that there are chemicals on the end of a match stick. Flames have a shadow, you know. I never really realized that a flame would have a shadow. I don't know why, but I guess I never thought about it.
