What Promoted Tweets means for you

What, exactly, do promoted tweets mean for most Twitter users? The first of a prepared group of Twitter advertising, promoted tweets will highlight search results. instant cash loans from venture capitalists cannot support Twitter forever, no matter how adversely promoted tweets may be going over.

How promoted tweets is planned to work

Built to be comparable to, but more “organic” than Google advertisements, Promoted Tweets will operate on search results. When somebody uses search.twitter.com, contextually relevant results will appear at the top of the search results. For instance, a search for the term “red bull” might show a promoted tweet by Red Bull above current Twitter chatter. A few companies have already signed up for Promoted Tweets, including Starbucks, Sony, Bravo, Best Purchase, and Red Bull.

Promoted Tweets will rely on Twitter Users

Promoted Tweets will use tweets that paying companies would post anyway. Twitter is hoping that twitters will bookmark, retweet, or reply to the promoted tweets. Twitter says that promoted tweets that don’t receive user interaction could be removed. Debt settlement relief might be in the future for Twitter if the promoted tweets program is successful.

Plans for the growth of Promoted Tweets

The Promoted Tweets program does not stop just with the display of search results. Twitter has outlined expansion of promoted tweets, should the program be successful. First, the Promoted Tweets could be “injected” into the timelines of anybody who already follows the company. The promoted tweets will also be shown in Twitter apps, including new ones companies are hiring a dedicated programmer to create apps.

The reality of Promoted Tweets

The Twitter microblogging site is using Promoted Tweets as the first step into “monetizing” the immensely popular site. Until now, the site has refused to monetize itself, growing as a free service since 2006. Biz Stone, the head of Twitter, says the company wanted to create value first and money second. With Promoted Tweets, it appears Twitter might be looking to give investors a return on the $ 57 million that has been invested within the business. Some users might leave the microblogging site, but if the reactions of users to other social networking launching advertising are any indication, most users are willing to put up with advertising to support their favorite web applications.
