Shear Genius winner as Brig takes the entire thing

Shear Genius is designed to be a competition about hairstyling. The Shear Genius winner for Season three on Bravo has stirred up some controversy.

Whether she deserved it or not, Brig is getting the Shear Genius winner prize of $ 100,000 in cash advance prize money and a photo shoot for Allure Magazine.

Brig: Shear Genius winner

It’s for certain that Brig was not the best hairstylist on Shear Genius. However, Brig was surely the best competitor on Shear Genius. The person who deserves it is never the person that wins since they always give it to whoever will sell more TV.

It appears that it would make more sense for Brig, with her crazy outfits and large hair bows, would be the Genius Winner prize and won't have to borrow money to help with her big bow addiction.

The way Shear Genius works

Shear Genius is a TV show that is much like Top Chef and Project Runway, with a hairstyling theme. The competitors are given one “short cut” challenge each week where they’re (generally) not eliminated, and then one “elimination challenge”.

Each elimination challenge has a theme that each competitor must style to match and then the styles are seen by a panel when they sent their hairstyles down the runway.

The Brig Drama

Brig became the drama bucket of the show on Shear Genius. She usually worked for the drama rather than the competition with her big bows and making herself the center of controversy. Matthew Morris and Janine Jarman were the other two finalists that were more liked by watchers but Brig's buns with extensions won in the end. There are some that are wondering if Brig’s story of “triumph over adversity” might have been just what pushed her over the top.

No matter what these reasons happen to be, Brig managed to get herself on the show and then to find herself winning the Shear Genius competition.
