The twenty-seven-year-old Oregonian made the decision a modification in his lawful name was needed and he needed something with panache. He thus transformed his title to Captain Awesome. Captain Awesome must have applied for a loan to fund the legal title modification.

A modification was all unemployed cabinet maker Douglas Allen Smith Jr. or Eugene OR who is 27 made the decision. In honor of his preferred TV show, "Chuck," accounts the Eugene Register Guard, he altered his name to Captain Awesome. "A bad nickname builds character" which was why Devon Woodcomb, or Ryan McPartlin in real life, was given the nickname Captain Awesome. This is why Smith wanted his name to be changed. However, he had to face an incredibly skeptical judge who was not initially receptive.
Captain Awesome wins in the courtroom
Smith researched name modification cases at the University of Oregon law library and successfully represented himself in the courtroom. He was allowed to modify his title and change his signature to make a smiley face with left and right arrows by the judge. He had his new signature accepted by the Oregon Department of Motor Automobiles. It will be printed on the back of his driver's license too. His bank was the only one who wouldn't accept his signature. This is because it would be too easy to forget the glyph.
Why names matter
It isn't too hard to get your name transformed lawfully if you would like to. However, some titles are too much to really use. A 9 year old girl in New Zealand became a ward of the court during a custody dispute between parents a few years back. She was named Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii which brought on this. Of course, Yeah Detroit, Keenan Got Lucy and Sex Fruit were all forbidden.
