It was designed to be a secret when the Droid Incredible, Verizon's new flagship phone, was designed to be released. Now, every person knows that on Thursday, April 29, customers can pre-order the Droid Incredible. A teaser website on VerizonWireless.com accidentally went live earlier today but was easily pulled. The cat is now out of the bag.

Launch of Droid Incredible confirmed

Droid geeks have been reporting sightings of the Droid Incredible for a while. The anticipation has been unbearable creating gossip about rumors of the features and release in the blogosphere. But now, because of a communication breakdown within the inner sanctum of Verizon web development, the agony could be changed by ecstasy as of April 29, whenever you can whip out your credit card and order the Droid Incredible.

Matchup Droid Incredible Google Nexus One

It seems that the Droid Incredible has about the exact same specs as the Google Nexus One, and Verizon users are expecting it for a while. The Droid Incredible may have a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood, accompanied by 576MB RAM/512MB ROM and 8GB of built-in internal storage. It may also have the same 3.7-inch AMOLED display, with 480×800 pixels. The Incredible will run Android 2.1 along with Nexus One.

Android Platform improved with Droid Incredible

The biggest difference between the two devices can be that the Droid Incredible runs HTC’s revised Sense UI, according to Eric Zeman at Informationweek.com. Zeman said the newest version of Sense makes using the Android platform seamless and more a more enjoyable experience. HTC's custom overlay consists of more powerful screen switching tools and better social networking support. The Sense UI was confirmed in the screen shot posted by Verizon Wireless on the teaser site before it was shut down by the business.

Droid Incredible and the point and shoot performance

Other features which were revealed on the site are a hefty 8 megapixel camera with flash and autofocus, meaning the Droid Incredible could help you so you don't have to get a personal loan for a new digital camera. More Droid Incredible goodies a digital compass, proximity sensor, light sensor, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headset, and a GPS.

Droid Incredible: the Droid killer

It didn't take Verizon very long to password protect the teaser site for the Droid Incredible. It featured a large image of the Droid Incredible, along with information that integrated the April 29 launch date. You have been shut out unless you were one of the lucky ones to catch Verizon with their pants down earlier. But you can expect Verizon to revive the site before too long, along with the requisite advertising blitz urging you to chuck your Droid, get a cash advance and order the Droid Incredible.
